NRVSS is a name drawn from the word “nerves,” the biological pathways that carry thought, sensation, and impulse throughout the body.
Just as nerves transmit invisible signals into action, NRVSS gives physical presence to what moves within.
NRVSS works with the impulses and pain first experienced in youth, immature and unresolved, casting them into matter.
The forms of NRVSS appear like horns driven outward by internal impulse, and like scabs formed by pain that protect and trace the boundary between inside and outside, both assertive and protective.
As monuments record history
and gravestones carry names,
NRVSS leaves a physical trace of what once moved inside the body,
not for consumption, but to remain, cast in metal.
